A business plan doesn’t have to be for a whole business, it can be for a project, like I did here, or for a division of your business (despite being a really small business, my wife and I have four distinct divisions of our business to manage, and they’re each going to get their own plan.)

Totally agree – the people who benefit the most from having a business plan are those running the business. That’s because it’s not about what you hope to convince others to get into, it’s about what you’ve gotten yourself into and how everyone in the company need to work together to make it successful. That’s why they say: ‘having no plan is planning to fail’!
