After spending over two decades telling my kids to grow up, I really struggle with this. I know you’re right, and I have to figure out how to work with the need to be entertained yet stay authentic to my work ethic and professional DNA.

Great point Jim, and thanks for sharing! You’re absolutely right…if it’s not fun to work for you, your employees will migrate to places that are fun to work for, possibly even your competitors.

Great post, you keep doing that thinking you described. It’s working for you.

Not only are you correct about making it fun to do business with you, BUT companies now need to begin to make it fun to work for them as well.

Zappos not only made it fun to do business with them, but also to work for them.
